Warwick Edgington

For Warwick, creating jewellery presents with an opportunity and a challenge: the chance to combine elements, and to enhance them. Warwick uses stone and shell to bridge the gap between the natural world and the man-made architectural and industrial mechanics that capture his imagination. Warwick explains, Steel combined with mother of pearl, for instance, emphasizes the difference in the strengths of the different materials, but at the same time allows the softer material to stand on its own. Physical contact with the natural is important and I like to design ways for the wearer to make this contact.
